报告摘要：In this talk we first introduce some background of the mean curvature flow in material science and geometric analysis, then recall some typical results in mathematics. We then talk about the (almost) periodic traveling wave solution (PTW) in a cylinder, including the definition, the existence, uniqueness and stability of the PTW. Also we will specify the homogenization of the PTW as the boundary period tends to 0.

报告人简介：娄本东，现任上海师范大学数理学院教授。娄教授的研究方向是偏微分方程与生物数学，他与同行合作构建了反应扩散方程的自由边界传播理论，首次开展了非均匀空间中的非平面波的研究，受到Caffarelli等人的关注。相关研究获得了多项国家自然科学基金资助，以及上海市自然科学二等奖。
