报告摘要: Homogeneous dynamics is a special kind of dynamics, focusing on the study of the dynamical properties of Lie group actions on homogeneous spaces. As such, homogeneous dynamics is closely related to several different subjects in math, i.e., number theory, representation theory, Lie theory and geometry. First, I will give a quick introduction to homogeneous dynamics and its relation to number theory, in particular, non-dense orbits in homogeneous dynamics and Diophantine approximation. At last, I will also describe some of my work in this direction.
