报告摘要：In this talk, we will present our recent results on the  symmetry of Riemann-Finsler spaces.  The main topics will include affine symmetric Berwald spaces, locally symmetric Finsler spaces, globally symmetric Finsler spaces, weakly symmetric Finsler spaces, geodesic orbit spaces.  We will show that there is no intermediate stage between weakly symmetric spaces and globally symmetric spaces.

报告人简介：邓少强，南开大学数学学院教授、博士生导师，享受政府特贴专家。主要从事李群与微分几何的研究，已经在 Advances in Mathematics, Crelle's Journal, Transactions AMS, Math. Z. 等杂志上发表100多篇研究论文，独立撰写的专著《Homogeneous Finsler Spaces》2012年由Springer出版社纽约分社出版，列入著名数学专著系列 Springer Monographs in Mathematics 中。2003年入选教育部优秀青年教师资助计划，2004年入选新世纪优秀人才支持计划，2007年获宝钢全国优秀教师奖，2014年获全国高校自然科学二等奖（第一完成人），2015年获天津市教学名师奖，2016年获天津市五一劳动奖章，2020年被评为天津市劳动模范。他是2013-2017和2018-2022年度教育部数学专业教学指导委员会委员。
